In observance of World Mental Health Day on October 11, the principal of Christ the King School in Rushoon undertook a special initiative in an effort to ensure students understood the important link between physical and mental health. A wonderful community celebration was held at St. Marks School in King's Cove this September, as students harvested the vegetables planted in Spring as part of outdoor classroom activities. The Newfoundland and Labrador English School District Board of Trustees held their meetings in St. John's September 30 to October 1. As required by the by-laws, trustees voted in members of their Executive Committee as part of their Annual General Meeting.
