St. Anne’s Academy is located in Dunville and is part of the Eastern Avalon School District. Our school offers Grade Kindergarten to Grade 9 with a student population of 260 which represents 4 communities in our surrounding area. St. Anne’s Academy has a total of 19 full-time and 3 part-time educational staff, which include 10 Homeroom teachers, 3 Special Services personnel, 5 specialist teachers in the areas of music/technology, physical education, French, resourse and a part-time Guidance Counsellor, as well as the support of 2 Student Assistants. In addition, supports are provided from School Board office staff including Speech Pathology, Specialists for the visually and hearing impaired and Education Psychologists. We focus on providing our students with the skills they will need for the future. Critical literacy, Science, Mathematics, the Arts, Technology Education and Personal Development are program priorities, and we aim for the highest level of achievement for our students. We believe that education is a shared responsibility among teachers, parents, students, business, and community organizations.
