Mary Queen of the World School is located on 785 Topsail Road in Mount Pearl. The school is over 50 years old and has had many different configuations since it was originally constructed. The last class of high school students graduated in 1984. At present, Mary Queen of the World School accommodates over 430 students in Kindergarten to Grade 6. The school offers Intensive Core French at the grade 6 level. The school is proud of its choir, band and sports teams. There are many volunteer activities including the Kids Eat Smart/Breakfast Club, the Literacy program, the DARE initiative, the Book Fairs, and the School Council.
