School's Mission Statement The mission of I. J. Samson Junior High is to provide a respectful environment that instills a desire for lifelong learning and leads its members to reach their potential. Our School Community Our school, I.J. Samson Junior High is part of the Eastern School District. The school has an enrolment of 255 students and offers the provincial curriculum to grades 7, 8 and 9 for English and Late French Immersion students. Our feeder schools include Cowan Heights Elementary and St. Mary's Elementary, for both English and late French Immersion. Other schools feed to us for Late French Immersion programming: Holy Cross Elementary, Bishop Abraham Elementary, St. John Bosco, MacPherson Elementary, and St. Theresa's Elementary. Our school benefits from the wide feeder system. We are a vibrant learning community as reflected in the many facets of school life existent at I.J. Samson. Our students continue to grow with much success academically, athletically, socially, emotionally, and morally.
