KinderStart is a provincially endorsed orientation program that is intended to support children in their transition from home to school. It consists of 5-8 orientation sessions for children and their parents/caregivers in the year prior to Kindergarten entry.
During the first KinderStart session, children and their parents/caregivers will be provided with an activity resource bag and suggestions for home activities. principals will communicate to parents/caregivers the times of all KinderStart sessons in the Fall of the given school year.
The Eastern School District encourages participation of all parents/caregivers in the kinderstart program. More information can be found using the resource links at left.
