The following is a list of Good News that has happened in our schools throughout the month of April, 2010.

Bishops College Students Mark United Nations World Water Day April 21, 2010 On March 22, the Bishops College Youth Action Committee organized student events to mark the United Nations World Water Day and joined the World's Longest Toilet Queue in a Guinness World Record attempt. This event was completed with other schools, colleges, and universities around the world as people stood in solidarity with the 2.6 billion people worldwide who are still waiting in line to use a safe and dignified toilet. This crisis kills 4,000 children per day. At Bishops College, 118 students and staff participated in the queue that aims to pressure governments to take part in the first ever "High-Level Meeting on Sanitation and Water" being held in Washington, DC on April 23, 2010. This lobbying is attempting to ensure that money and leadership is put in place that is needed to tackle the global sanitation and water crisis. As students and staff completed this event, some were noted as saying how exciting it was to be part of history in the making!
