Holy Name of Mary Students Learn about Climate ChangeFebruary 2, 2010
Years before climate change was widely accepted by the general public as a global threat, Michelle was studying the impacts of climate change on boreal forests. Michelle has spent the past three years working with climate change policy and represents Denmark on issues relating to International climate change policy and negotiations. Michelle delivered her message to the students and they discussed ways they could make a difference and raise public awareness of this important global issue. The students were very enthusiastic about climate change such that they have formed a group to help educate the entire school and community about their role in protecting our environment.

Representatives from VOCM Cares and Subway arrived at the school and a lunch of sandwiches, cookies, and beverages was served to everyone. We all enjoyed the party and are so proud that our contribution will help keep so many children warm this winter.

St. John Bosco Students Give Back to their CommunityJanuary 28, 2010
While on their shopping trip to Sobeys (Howley Estates) on Merrymeeting Road, the Duke students channeled each isle armed with a shopping list and a budget. They caught the eye of the management of Sobeys who were impressed not only by their initiative but also by their behaviors and attitudes. As a result, they donated many items for inclusion in the hampers. Thank you to our students for their willingness to help those in need and to Sobeys for recognizing the good work that our young people do!!
